In Doctor Kamikaze, Richard Larsen rediscovers that he is no longer the shy, naïve twelve-year-old who learned about sex in the “coming of age” novel, Goin’ to Nebraska.

Severely concussed with retrograde amnesia, he lies paralyzed and unable to communicate with fixed and dilated pupils in an ICU bed in a mountain town in Colorado, being prepared to be transferred to Denver to be a donor for organ transplantation. While recalling his adult past, he listens to the hospital staff and his evil nemesis and pieces together how he got into this life-threatening situation, hoping it is not too late to avert his death as transplant material.

Warned during his psychiatry rotation by his medical school professor of his potential vulnerability to beautiful women, he re-envisions through explicit images of love-making how intertwined his life had become with them, especially the incredible one who is the key to his predicament.
